Canadian National Pacific - 4-6-2


Built - December 1905 by Locomotive and Machine Works of Montreal, a Canadian division of ALCO - sn #38914 in Montreal QC, Canada

For Intercolonial Railway as engine #346 in April 1916 it was then transfered to the Canadian Government Railways as #425

In September 1919 the engine was renumbered as CNoR #5529

January 1923 the engine was merged into the newly formed Canadian National Railway Company as #5529

November 1958 the engine was donated to the National Museum of Transport by the Canadian National Railway

 

4-6-2 Medium Passenger locomotive Class K-1-d

 

The engine weighs 346,030 Lbs, and is an example of early 20th century locomotive design.

 

Built by Locomotive and Machine Works of Montreal, SN 38914

Retired from regular rail service in 195x

Donated to MOT in November 1958 by Canadian National Railway
