#1621 Frisco Decapod


Built in 1918 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1918 for the Russian Government as a broad gauge (5 foot gauge) engine. Never left for Russia due to the Russian Revolution. Converted to standard gauge, and given to the Pennsylvania Railroad then sold to the St. Louis–San Francisco Railway (SLSF or "Frisco"). After Frisco ended steam operations it was sold to Eagle-Picher who used it to haul lead ore to a smelting plant.

Earlier used on Southern; MKT; Ft. Smith, Subiaco & Rock Island; and “Frisco”
