CB&Q Silver Charger


Burlington 9908, a Model AA built by Budd April 1939, powered by a EMD 567 1000hp V12.

Built in 1939 for the St. Louis to Kansas City service - General Pershing Zephyr on the CB&Q.

The EMD 567 (1,000 hp) in Silver Charger gave the engine enough horsepower to run the train at a average of 55.8 mph over its run including stops pulling a three car train.

This is the last shovel nose built by Budd.
